Working as a physiotherapist in Denmark.
For physiotherapists educated outside of Denmark
If you received your education in physiotherapy outside of Denmark and wish to work as a physiotherapist in Denmark, Greenland, or the Faeroe Islands you must first apply for Danish authorization with the National Board of Health.
The National Board of Health determines whether or not applicants fulfill the required criteria defined by law for authorization in Denmark. Applicants’ qualifications are recognized according to different sets of regulations depending on their country of citizenship and on where they completed their education.
Applying for authorization
There is a fee of 287 DDK for authorization. The fee will be applied when the National Board of Health has reviewed your application.
All applications will be processed within a maximum period of three months after the board has received the necessary documentation and fee.

In order to become a member of the Association of Danish Physioterapists, you must be authorized as a physiotherapist.
