Et nyt kursus om neurodynamik målrettet børn med omfattende hjerneskader. Kurset består af to moduler
Et to ugers forløb med undersøgelse og behandling af problemer relateret til tab af normal neurodynamik hos børn med omfattende hjerneskader.
Kurset fokuserer på aspekter i undersøgelse og behandling af børn med lidelser i CNS, neurodynamisk mobilisering og planlægning af individuelle hjemmeprogrammer. En del af kurset er praktisk og retter sig mod undersøgelse og behandling af børn. Udvælgelsen af hvilke børn, der inddrages på kurset, vil afspejle kursisternes arbejdsområder. For at fremme læringsaspektet er kurset opdelt i 2 moduler, så der herved gives mulighed for at arbejde med det lærte mellem modul 1 og del 2.
Kurset afholdes på let forståeligt engelsk.
Målgruppe:
Børnefysioterapeuter, der arbejder med børn med medfødte eller erhvervede hjerneskader.
The content of the course is:
- Theoretical knowledge of neurodynamics and pathoneurodynamics.
- The interdependency of biomechanical and physiological reactions of the nervous system.
- Handling skills to perform the neurodynamic tests, especially under the conditions after a central lesion, or with children.
- Analysis of children`s activities with the focus on neural structure adaptations.
- Reactions of neural tissue to limitations / restrictions.
- Out-of-tension-positions.
- The importance of the best available positioning.
- A special focus on eating / feeding problems to be considered.
- Giving back and / or establishing self-confidence by getting better body control.
The aim of the course is to:
- Assess the mobility of the nervous system as a whole
- Establish the location of the resistance in the nervous system and in the target tissues which is preventing normal mobility and selective muscle activity
- Use neurodynamic tests and their components, if possible, as treatment techniques to regain the mobility of the nervous system in order to overcome compensatory postures, evasive movements, disturbed sensation and abnormal pattern of movement
- Do neural mobilizations during daily live activities or other acitivities of interest in case of severe proprioception disorder or less understanding of abstract treatment techniques.
- Facilitate selective movements after nervous system mobilization, according to activitiy and participation level of ICF.
- Understand the underlying neural mechanisms of developing secondary problems like contractures, scoliosis etc., as a prerequisite to minimize them in future.
- Choose adequate interventions which are fitting both to well known concepts and to the mobilization for shortening neural tissue.
- Support the children`s cognitive processes by giving them more reliable body structures.
